Essentials:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in application development

Software Engineer

 

Reporting directly to the Head of Software Engineering, the Software Engineer will be a highly organised individual who has in depth experience and knowledge of application development.

This role would be ideal for a candidate with at least 3 years developer experience, with an excellent understanding of web technologies. The right candidate will have strong experience of developing database-driven applications, so must be proactive, able to meet tight deadlines and have a high level of self-motivation. Due to the nature of the role, the chosen candidate must be able to exhibit previous back end and front end development skills, and be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of application architecture in order to fit the desired requirements for this level position.

Essentials:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in application development

Working in the digital marketing sector as the Head of Client Services you will be responsible for senior client management and the development and technical delivery of key accounts. The role focuses on day to day client and account management for data, digital communications and campaign management. Senior Account Manager

Reporting to the Head of Commercial the key purpose of this role is to proactively own, manage and develop existing client accounts to the highest possible standards growing revenues by understanding their strategic needs and developing worthwhile relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.

The role will involve deployment of strong interpersonal and communications skills to ensure all the relevant internal and external teams, and bought into and clear on account strategies, their objectives, commercial status, and key propositions being recommended to a client. It will also involve contributing significant negotiation skills where agreements and contracts are being extended or amended. From a day-to-day perspective, you will originate and proactively drive the development of proposals incorporating the recommendation of a range of data and digital capabilities and solutions. Core to your work will be the receipt and interpretation of briefs, some of which are complex in nature, applying strong judgement in drawing out clear and unambiguous requirements. You will be required to collaborate closely with operational and delivery teams to make effective commercial decisions, managing client expectations and overseeing the successful delivery of projects and services.

Duties to include

  • Acting as primary point of contact for all new client requests and requirements.
  • Taking ownership of contractual and commercial relationship with existing clients.
  • Monitoring and managing confirmance to SLAs and adherence to contractual terms of agreement by contracting parties.
  • Taking ultimate responsibility for account billing for non BAU work (e.g. contractual renewals or account managed opportunities) with oversight of all billing for each account under their management.
  • Responsible for commercial forecasting in relation to their accounts.
  • Responsible for identifying and progressing pipeline of new opportunities for existing accounts and responsibility for internal reporting on high level scope, anticipated value, status and “possible / probable” allocations for each project or requirement per client where appropriate.
  • Supporting and contributing to pitches, generating proposals and presentations for new or expanding opportunities with existing client accounts.
  • Responsible for ensuring that pricing incorporated into any proposal, quote or estimate is commercially appropriate for the business, especially when aligning revenue with delivery where people time is an essential component in the provision to the client.
  • Recipient of Commercial Team handovers regarding new accounts into Client Services area including:
    • Ownership of scoping / understanding new client strategy, objectives and requirements with appropriate Ops resource (e.g. SDM or PM) and wider business.
    • Briefing client requirements for delivery into Operations through the appropriate Operational Account Manager’s.
  • Strategic Account planning, management and development including:
    • The creation and development of Strategic Account Plans for Key Accounts
    • Planning and executing client contact strategies.
    • Client relationship building with existing contacts and across broader Client departments / business areas.
    • Leading Client meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • To ensure that all client queries are answered within a timely fashion at all times, escalating any complaints or non-‘business-as-usual’ queries appropriately
  • To build strong long term professional relationships with clients
  • To keep the internal business fully abreast of client activity or any issues that may affect client campaigns
  • To work in partnership with the client and/or internal stakeholders, promoting transparency to keep them fully informed at all stages of their activities from brief through to deployment

Data Analyst

Join a data-centric team producing highly focussed data solutions.

Our Single Customer View (SCV) platform is undergoing architectural change. We are looking for an individual skilled in ETL and SQL to become a significant part of this project.

Work will be centred at our Exeter HQ, but may include travel to other EQ Group offices to participate in requirements gathering workshops.

Someone with a Data Science background, or aspirations to move into this area, will have an advantage.

Skills Required:

  • Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) with large data sets.
  • Use of Enterprise level tools such as Microsoft SSIS, Talend, Informatica, Matillion or Alooma or similar.
  • Experience with Data Pipelines and associated technologies.
  • Deep SQL experience, gained in a commercial environment, covering at least one enterprise level data platform.

Useful Skills:

  • Procedural language such as Python or C#.
  • Matching data from different sources at an individual or household level.
  • Direct experience in specification, construction or operation of an SCV.
  • Requirements definition, working with the immediate team, other business colleagues, and potentially customers.
